A message from Rob Clark
Director, Global Entertainment, Fremantle
In a year marked by massive structural and external disruption to the TV industry, I am happy to say Fremantle has continued to thrive, developing exciting and original formats.
As we enter the fall season here at Fremantle, we are proud to bring you a new offering of formats that have launched successfully both creatively and with great audience ratings from major markets around the world.
Make Up Your Mind launched this summer, celebrities in drag brought RTL4 its highest entertainment launch of the year.
More entertainment includes The People’s Playlist, which has topped the ratings chart for VTM in Belgium.
Joining the catalogue are two dating formats fresh out of The Netherlands.
B&B Of Love
First up is B&B Of Love, a breakout summer smash for RTL4, which follows the daily soap opera of six B&B owners abroad trying to find love as they build their business. It’s a heart-warming, authentic search for love and one not to be missed.
Celebrity Matchmakers takes three pairs of celebs and makes them competitive cupids for one single lady. In a world where dating shows are constantly being developed, this does something that I have never seen before, it turns the act of dating into a competitive sport. And I love it.
Finally, from the UK and soon to launch on Channel 4 is Trash Monsters, a celebrity environmental format packed with purpose, emotion, humour and entertainment. With climate change the global priority, this is a very timely format.
Across the globe, Fremantle continues to thrive creatively, developing exciting and original formats to add to our trusted irresistible entertainment collection and I’m pleased to share five of the best with you.
